What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Some are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in. Others measure how the site is used.

Cookies the site needs

These are set only when you sign in. Without them you cannot use your account.

Analytics and advertising cookies

These are not needed for the site to work. Our own visitor ID is set on your first page view. The others are set by Google Analytics, Google Ads and LinkedIn, whose scripts are loaded through Google Tag Manager on every page. Their names and lifetimes are set by those companies and can change.

These cookies are currently set when a page loads, without asking you first. There is no on-site setting to turn them off yet. Until there is, you can block or delete them in your browser, as described below.

Other storage in your browser

The site also keeps a few items in your browser's session and local storage. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab: it holds an analytics session ID and how you arrived (the referring page and campaign tags). Local storage keeps your display preference, journeys you have saved and, if you use CXO Intelligence, your conversation history on that device.

How to control cookies

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, for all sites or for cxoindia.com alone, in its privacy or site settings. Blocking the cookies the site needs will sign you out. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site, and LinkedIn lets members turn off ad measurement in their LinkedIn settings.
